MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas came and went Oh so fast. In a way I am a bit sad. It was a very fun time of year and seeing the excitement in Giana was a memory I will never forget. Although she did not like Santa in person she loved the end result.

Giana got a couple things that she loved from Santa.

ONE..... a new baby stroller

TWO....a new kitchen complete with booth.

Loved them so much that as of December 26th.......we still have this........

Yep you guessed it. The presents from Santa...still wrapped. We could save them until next year and he would not even have to come! One thing I can probably guarantee that next year and the years after this will NOT happen.

It is Christmas Eve Morning and we are patiently waiting for the festivities to begin.

And like all the good boys and girls Giana is waiting for Santa to make his appearance tonight and I believe Giana's pajama shirt says it best.

My wonderful husband ventured to San Diego the week BEFORE Thanksgiving.

Resting night after night in our BEDROOM! So the stubborn wife that I am is going to leave it and take bets as to when it will be unpacked and put away in our garage.

So let me do the honors.
My bet is that this suitcase will rest there until....

Our next vacation....IN MAY!

Bundle Up Gi-Gi

The great thing about having kids is seeing their faces when they experience something new and exciting. Today it was Giana seeing the first snow fall and getting all bundled up to go to school. She even put on her gloves like she knew that is what you do. I seriously tried a couple times before and she would have nothing to do with them but with her new coat it was like the finishing touch.

Well this is pretty usual these days as fits are her favorite.

New Word of the Week

Can you guess Giana's new word that she loves so much?

Yep.....Basketball. I am doomed. She loves to watch basketball with Dada on TV. The minute he comes home she says it over and over. So 2 votes on the channel trump Mama's. Thank goodness for DVR.

So a couple days back I am getting ready for work and I hear down the hallway........Now go and show mommy! And I hear little footsteps heading my way. So I see Giana running for me and all in smiles and I look and someone, a daddy someone, got her all dressed and ready

and did a little something extra...........................

Yep you guessed it. He put his skills to work and did her hair!

And for all of those that are wondering the Chica costume was completed thanks to the help of Nonna. And after all the work and the fear Giana would want nothing to do with it....boy was I WRONG! Giana LOVED it and was so excited to Trick or Treat with the kids and cried when we had to drag her in because it was a little cold. What a fun day!

I wonder what she will be next year.

So this weekend was Halloween weekend once again. We are primping Giana's costume because we all know that I am not an out of the box type of mom.

Pumpkin Farm Weekend!

I finally have an excuse to go to all the places I once loved as a child. This weekend was all about the pumpkin farms. And Giana was really into it. She loved the orange "Balls" that were everywhere.

Our first stop was Creuziger Farms on Hwy 11 in Sturtevant.
