New Hobby

Back a couple weeks ago I was reading a friends blog and had an AH HA moment and I thought I would share with everyone. Tim Prust, a great photographer, posted this on his blog.....

And after I read this I had to think to myself.....do I take enough pictures of the family? Do I truly capture all or most of our moments in life? It seems like life is flying by at the speed of light and I decided to make sure I capture the moments we share together because you never know what tomorrow can bring.

Then soon after I was driving in my car and heard this song by Phil Vassar and for some reason became very very sentimental and really listened to the words of the song. And I thought how lucky Kavin and I are that we truly do spend good quality family time together and don't miss a lot of the important moments as it comes to Giana and have made some great memories together as a family.

So with both inspirations in mind I decided to take up a new hobby to show these moments. Music Slideshows. So I put a little  something together and decided to use my inspiration Song by Phil Vassar, "Don't miss your life." And the song choice is not because we have missed our moments in life but because I want to remember to always remember the moments that Kavin, Giana and I have shared together.

P.S. This is my first one. So please go easy on me critics. And please listen to the words of this song and remember. Life is so short....so get out those cameras and lets remember the moments forever. And DON'T MISS YOUR LIFE!

Please enjoy!

The Suprise of the Summer

So Giana has a swing set we bought last year. It is smaller. Perfect for a toddler.
But there is just something WRONG!
A little girl named Giana does not swing on it. It stands there.
With no kids to play on it.

Why you ask? Well lets ask Giana........Giana has told me several times that this one is for babies. The swing does not swing high like Aylena's (the neighbors). See Aylena has a big girl one and we found ourselves on many occasions over at her house using her big girl swing set.
So what is a mommy to do?

Well on a Friday afternoon Nana and I took a ride up to Waukehsa to a swing set store with Giana. 2 1/2 hours later....we drag her out. And on the next Friday after noon THIS CAME
And the best part was Giana had no clue!

And after school the Surprise of the summer was revealed......
and all she kept saying was.... "WOW"

Then the fun began.
And Giana played until 11pm that night on it.

And the best part is......

I think this swing set will be the best part of summer for years to come.
Thanks Nana and PopE!!!!!!!

Disney 2012

Disney was all more magical this time than we could have imagined. As a mom I was nervous. Nervous for the plane, nervous she would not sleep good at night at her new house, nervous she would not want to be at Disney, nervous she would be terrified of the characters and so on. But never FEAR MOMMY.... Giana is your daughter and has Disney in her heart and soul just like you. What do they call it now a days? Brainwashing? Not my daughter. I will not admit a thing. But if it is any constellation it worked like a charm and Giana was great and adapted with ease.
So let me start from the beginning.
Hope you have a while....get your favorite beverage and relive our Disney moments with me.

We woke up on a gloomy Saturday morning in Wisconsin, packed our bags, waited patiently for the shuttle to pick us up and headed off to make great memories.

On our way!!!

READY.....

SET......

LAND!

We made it safe now it is time to relax
because in the morning we are going to......DISNEY

Magic Kingdom day!!!!

Wait does she realize that we are at the happiest place on earth?

Giana and PopE we way to excited

There's a smile! She now sees the CASTLE.

After a short boat ride we enter Magic Kingdom and see...DAISY DUCK!

So I ask Giana....do you want to meet her?
She responds "YES!" So we get in line,
and I think to myself oh how I hope that after the 20 minutes in line
she does not start to cry and run away.
And to my surprise it was nothing but hugs and smiles.

R

Gigi decided to pout because she wanted the rental stroller
and not the one that was drug from Wisconsin.
You know....the one mommy picks is not cool!

Look who is driving!!!
Who needs dumbo when there are RACE CARS to drive.

And then she was done for the day

 Onto the next day.
We headed to downtown Disney and played some Lego's

Check these out. They are all Lego's

Then onto a boat ride for a little R&R

Then back to our Disney house to play

I am ashamed to admit but I seriously think
the Disney store exploded on our table.

A new day has arrived.
And we are headed to Animal Kingdom
Come on GUYS!!!

Breakfast with the characters. WAY FUN!

So breakfast was done and Giana looked a little sad
so I asked....What is wrong G? and her response was...
WHERE'S MINNIE?

So we left and found MINNIE!

 Now lets see some animals!

Giana being a "Mingo"

Yes, there is glass between me and this tiger.
But it sure doesn't look like it does it?

TO COOL!

They take turns!

No idea why we are pouting again

This guy was from Nigeria and he handmade this
walking stick we bought for PopE.
So in a way it is straight from Africa.

Our little drummer girl.
She found a great Bongo in Africa
PARADE TIME!!!

Back to the Disney house for swimming

 And Dancing!!!

 Wastin away in Margaritaville

 POOL DAY!!!!

 THEN WE PASSED OUT

Our last day and Giana wanted to go to Disney one last time.
So we went to the next best thing.

Downtown DISNEY!!!!

And instead of dressing up like a princess
Giana wanted to build a race car with DADDY!
So her and daddy pimped put her ride.
Broke my heart but she LOVED IT!

Then we played Lego's for one last time

YEP, all Lego's

AND PASSED OUT

Got back to the Disney house and
used up the rest of the bread by feeding the ducks.

Lets just say BAD idea.
They told their friends and before we knew it
we ran out of bread and we were surrounded by
LOTS of hungry ducks.

Then it came to an end!
It was time to go back home

I will say. This vacation has been one of the most memorable.
We all had so much fun and cannot wait to go back.
Thanks for reliving the fun with me!
