2012 Family Picture Day

It has been 2 years since our last family pictures and I was not going to go any longer.
I needed my fix of great family shots and capturing us as a family before time gets the best of us.
We once again called our friend, Tim Prust.
And he took us out to Pets and this is a sneak peek of what he captured.

I love them already and totally had to share!

If you are ever interested in family shots like this.
Please call Tim Prust.
He is a wonderful photographer and as you can see really captures
the moments we want to hold onto forever.

Thank you TIM for capturing the memories of our lifetime!!!!!

Singing in the Rain

So on Sunday we were sitting and watching T.V.
and all of a sudden I heard thunder
Look out the front window and see this
 Then I hear thunder again
so look out the back yard window and see THIS!

 Then came the rain.

Daddy braved the rain to let Giana splash
and experience rain for the first time the kid way!

SPLASH!

Then all good fun comes to an end.

Darn SUN!

The Zoo Trip

On a lovely Sunday afternoon Nana, Giana and I went to the Milwaukee Zoo.
It was fun but I did realize I am not to much of a fan of Zoo's.
Well Basically because of.....THE SMELL. YUCK

Well Giana had fun and Nana and I sucked up the smell and got some GREAT memories.

First off we headed over by the APES
Nope to loud... onto the next

We went to the sea lion show that was really fun.

Saw a sleeping bear

Then the TRAIN RIDE
what is great is I have not been there in years
And whenever I thought of the zoo I always remembered the train
And for some reason I always remembered it being little
And it is!!! Well short I guess I should say

Doesn't she look excited?

Now onto my favorite part of the day.
Now let me tell you Nana and I were going to keep this between us
but when we told my dad what had happened at our zoo excursion he became very proud.
Took us by surprise and this is why....

So while we were waiting for the sea lion show we saw some monkeys
And Giana says......
Oh mommy look it is so cute it is a mommy and daddy monkey and they are cuddling

And then she looks over and says.....
OH LOOK mommy and there is a PopE monkey.

Now before we assume why she may have thought that
we decided that what happens at the zoo stays at the zoo.
This would be kept between us

But then when we got home the fist thing PopE says was that he wanted dinner.
So being the loving family we thought we would tell him a story

Well he took the story like a champ then said he did not want dinner. ;)

But then said....
I am so happy she knew that he was the older monkey and that every family
has the hierarchy of a PopE monkey

Which I guess he is right. I will give him that.
So now we all know.
Monkey's have PopE's too!!!

The Gymnast

Giana is officially a gymnast in training. On Thursday she started Gymnastics and she CRIED when we left our first class because she wanted to stay. It was so cool to see her so excited to try flips and handstands. She is really strong and will be doing cartwheels before we know it.

P.S. She wore her outfit 2 DAYS IN A ROW!

Brushing teeth

Giana recently got a new spin brush tooth brush.
She loves it because it has a purple flower on it.
Whatever works right?
So she was brushing away and then I notice she is brushing all over her chin.

Curiosity strikes me and I ask. What are you doing.
She replies....."Shaving like Daddy!"
I guess the spin brush makes the same noise as his shaver
so she thought that is just what you do when getting ready!
Gotta lover her imagination.

Olypimpics 2012 cont...

The 2012 Olympics are still going strong and Giana has taken a liking to many sports. She loved swimming and gymnastics. But now she has changed pace to a new sport.
None other then Tack and Field.

On your mark......get set.........GO!

I think we have a little Olympian here.

The Olympics 2012

So I wonder if you have all been enjoying watching the Olympics this year like we have. Even Giana as liked watching it. We have watched the Gymnastics or "Mastics" as Giana calls it. Yesterday she was doing somersaults in the living room and trying to do cartwheels and back somersaults. It was to cute. I am sad I did not bring out the camera to catch her enthusiasm. So today is when I brought out the camera to watch another event that has caught her attention. SWIMMING. Now as I have showed in previous posts she loves swimming. But today tops it. I need to get her some lessons because the Olympics could just be in her future. :)

So this was the start....
I asked her what she was doing and she ways SWIMMING!
At the time the men were doing the back stroke. But this is what was great.
She pauses.....and gets up and looks at me and says. "I need to take my shirt off."
Well only because the guy swimmers had theirs off!

So she takes it off and gets back on the ground. To swim.

Swim Gi-Gi Swim!

Floor...pool....you have to start somewhere right?

Hope you are enjoying the Games like we are.

GO USA!
